What is permanent jewelry?

Permanent jewelry is custom fit jewelry that is welded closed instead of a secured clasp. It's a fun, effortless way to wear a bracelet, anklet, necklace, hand chain, or belly chain every day without worrying about taking it on or off. 

Does getting permanent jewelry hurt?

Not at all! The welding process is quick simple and safe. We place a protective leather square between your skin and the jewelry while welding making it easy- peezy and safe. 

But is permanent jewelry really permanent? Like, forever?!

It's designed to be worn continuously, but it is not impossible to remove. Most scissors will do the job just fine. We suggest cutting the jump ring with scissors or wire cutters. Save your chain and bring it back to us. We should be able to re-weld it for you!

What materials do you offer?

18K Gold Filled Our most popular option. Durable, tarnish-resistant, and designed for everyday wear.

Sterling Silver Classic, timeless and durable. Sterling Silver may naturally tarnish (very rare from what we've seen!) Can easily be polished back to it's original state.

Enamel-Dipped A fun, colorful, budget friendly option available in silver and gold dipped options. Since it's plated, it may fade over time and should be kept away from harsh chemicals including excessive sunscreen, lotions, hair sprays, mineral waters, etc whenever possible.

One-of-a-Kind Mixed Chain Collection Each chain is handcrafted from a unique combination of chain styles, creating a bracelet or anklet that's completely one of a kind. No two are exactly alike! Prices start at $29, and if the chain is long enough, it's the same price whether you choose a bracelet or anklet.

Can I shower or swim with Permanent Jewelry?

Yes! Gold-Filled and Sterling Silver are designed for everyday wear, including showering. Note: if you are planning on visiting any of our amazing mineral pools, we recommend keeping your permanent jewelry piece out of the water if possible. We've experienced for ourselves that the healing waters will turn Sterling Silver chains black, but go back to their shine a few hours after. Gold-Filled are unaffected. Dipped can vary. However, we cannot guaranty your chain will turn back to its original gorgeousness.

To keep your jewelry looking its best we recommend minimizing exposure to chlorine pools, hot tubs, bleach and house hold cleaners. Enamel-dipped jewelry should always be kept away from chlorine and harsh chemicals to help preserve its finish.

How do I clean my Permanent Jewelry?

Wash with warm water and mild soap when needed. A jewelry cleaning pen or polishing cloth works great for restoring shine. 

Will airport security detect it?

Nope. Permanent jewelry can be worn through airport security just like any other bracelet or necklace. You can fly home from your Palm Springs trip with no issue and take home a fabulous souvenir to remind you of your Desert Trip!

What if I need an MRI or surgery?

Some medical procedures require all metal to be removed. We've personally experienced that you must remove permanent jewelry for both MRIs and surgeries. If your jewelry needs to come off, save the chain and bring it back to have it rewelded.

Can children get Permanent Jewelry?

Yes!! We offer permanent jewelry for children with a legal guardian or parent present.  They need to be old enough to sit still long enough for us to properly weld their piece. We recommend ages five and up.

Do I need an appointment?

Walk-ins are almost always welcome! However, we do suggest calling ahead of time to make sure a permanent jewelry specialist will be here on the day of and time frame you are planning to come in.  We are usually able to accommodate walk ins daily but please call just to be sure! Do you host private Permanent Jewelry parties?

 We offer Private Seasonal Parties in store or at your location (Deposit Required) as well as VIP Group Experiences year round (No deposit required). Please see our Private Seasonal Parties page  and our VIP Group Experience page for more information. Or, contact us to learn about party options.

What if my jewelry breaks?

We offer one complimentary reweld within 30 days. After 30 days there is a $15 fee.

How long does it take?

On average most bracelets take 10 minutes without charms and 15min with charms.  Anklets take around five minutes longer. Hand chains are the most time consuming and can take 30-40min or longer with charms.

How does the whole Permanent Jewelry process work?

1) You come in and check out our beautiful assortment of chains and charms to choose from.

2) You pick the chain you want and you tell us what piece of jewelry you want

3) You pick out any of our charms or connecting charms if you want them added into the piece you've chosen.

4) We have you take a seat and measure the chain around your point of contact. For a bracelet, we put the chain on your wrist where we think you are going to like it based on our experience.

5) We let you move your arm up and down to determine if you like it as is, or want the chain tightened or loosened. 

6) Once we get your piece where you like it, we make it permanent by welding the jump ring together. We ask you to look away because the spark can hurt your eyes. We wear protective glasses. 

7) You're all done! You pay after your piece is completed or after your party is done. Check out the rest of our beautiful store while you wait for the rest of your party to be Permed. 

My friends want to come get permanent jewelry but I can't have it permanent. Do you offer a non-permanent option so I can still partake in the fun?

Yes! We can add a clasp to any permanent jewelry piece for a small additional fee.

Where are you located?

Our permanent jewelry is located inside our Oooh La La , Shoe La La, Baby La La and Puppy La La boutique. We are on the strip in downtown Palm Springs in the Vineyard Shopping Center and across the street from Nashville Kitchen & Bar a little to the left. We are directly next to Sammy G's Tuscan Grill.
